Our Story

Once Upon a Time

Once upon a time, a little girl named Alexandra was born in Lisbon — though she would forever insist she is half Brazilian, despite carrying a surname that is unmistakably German. Perhaps fate was already hinting at the curious mixture of worlds that lay ahead. For six years later, in the German city of Bielefeld — a place most famous for not being famous at all — a boy named Kristoffer entered the world.

For many years, their paths did not cross. After spending time in Portugal, Italy, Brazil and New York, Ale eventually built her life beneath the sunny skies of Barcelona, while Kris went all the way to Mexico only to later settle in the far rainier streets of London. One might say they are just as different as the cities they call home. And yet, as everyone knows, opposites have a most curious habit of attracting one another.

And so it was that, one summer evening in Ibiza, destiny quietly intervened. They met at a dinner with mutual friends — a dinner Ale was very eager to attend and Kris was not eager to attend at all. As it happens, friends, Covid, Neymar and Anitta all played their own peculiar roles in the chain of unlikely events that brought them to the same table.

On the night of the wedding celebration, just after midnight, it will be exactly six years since that evening in Ibiza — August 29th, 2020 — when their story truly began.

Six years of a long-distance relationship that was not always easy, yet somehow brought them closer with each passing day. Six years of growing together, learning from one another, and slowly becoming not only partners, but the very best of friends.

And the rest, dear reader, is the story that continues.
